Overwhelmed by the dispute, Ana María Henao Kzenevich began taking anti-depressants and moved out of the home they shared in December 2023, her family told the Spanish press.

Two months after settling in Madrid, she went missing. Ana María was supposed to take a trip with a friend.

More than two months after her disappearance, an arrest has been made.

Ana María’s estranged husband arrived in Miami on a flight from Serbia, his country of origin, which has no extradition treaty.

Although the authorities have reported that they will not give more details to the press, it was learned that prior to his arrest, Knezevich had refused to take a polygraph test.

Unofficially it was learned that he is being charged with kidnapping and will appear in court at the end of the week to determine if he will be freed on bail or extradited.
