Family Tragedy After Violent Attack in Arizona

Violent Attack in Tonopah Leaves Mother and Son Dead
On Sunday afternoon, authorities responded to an emergency call in the area of Indian School Road near 439th Avenue, west of Tonopah, Arizona.
According to official information, the report came in shortly before 5 p.m. regarding a shooting in the area.
Upon arrival, officers found several people suffering from gunshot wounds, including children.
A woman was pronounced dead at the scene. She was later identified by her family as Guadalupe Niebla Pérez.
Initially, a man and two minors were rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
However, on Tuesday authorities confirmed that one of the hospitalized children died from the injuries sustained in the attack — a devastating development in the Arizona family shooting.
So far, officials have stated that there are no outstanding suspects or active threats to the community. The case remains under investigation, and no additional details have been released about what triggered the shooting.
Six Children Marked by Tragedy
The Niebla Pérez family is now facing a devastating loss.
Guadalupe Niebla Pérez was the mother of six children.
One of them died following the attack, and another girl remains hospitalized, fighting for her life. The other children witnessed the violent incident.
The situation has left the minors in a state of deep emotional vulnerability, in addition to the physical and financial impact facing their extended family.
The Family’s Full GoFundMe Message
Given the magnitude of the grief and unexpected expenses, loved ones launched a fundraising campaign to cover the funeral services of Guadalupe Niebla Pérez and her deceased child, as well as medical care and the children’s recovery process.
In the message shared publicly, they stated:
“We come before you with hearts full of pain to ask for your support during an unimaginable tragedy.
Our family was affected by a devastating act of domestic violence that took the life of a beloved mother, Guadalupe Niebla Perez, and one of her six children.
Another of her daughters continues to fight for her life, while the other children witnessed this terrible event. The person who was supposed to protect them has now left them without their mother and without one of their siblings.
With humility, we ask for any financial help you can provide as we prepare for two funeral services, ongoing medical expenses, and the long road these children face in order to heal and rebuild their lives.
All donations will go directly to the Niebla Perez family.”
Investigation Ongoing as Community Mourns

While authorities continue investigating the events surrounding the Arizona family shooting, the family is coping not only with the loss of Guadalupe and one of the children, but also with uncertainty over the health of the girl who remains hospitalized.
The tragedy has deeply affected Arizona’s Hispanic community, where friends and relatives are organizing support and assistance for the surviving children.
