Actor and singer Eleazar Gómez was arrested for assaulting his girlfriend, actress and model Tefi Valenzuela.

Immediately, images of the young artist in handcuffs outside the police station began circulating on social media.

To this day, there remain questions about what exactly happened that day.

Eleazar Gómez assaults Tefi Valenzuela

According to official reports, officers from the Secretariat of Public Security detained the actor for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend.

Eleazar Gómez and Tefi Valenzuela were at their apartment when the assault occurred. She was the one who called the police for help.

Upon arrival, the officers noticed that Eleazar was behaving violently. What’s more, he verbally assaulted Tefi in their presence.

It’s worth noting that this was not the first time the young actor had been accused of assaulting one of his girlfriends.

Was Danna Paola also a victim?

According to the Los Angeles Times, in 2014, a video surfaced showing Eleazar Gómez arguing with his then-girlfriend, Danna Paola.

The actor was allegedly confronting her over a text message he had received. Both of them had starred in the telenovela Atrévete a Soñar.

Vanessa López, who also dated the actor, revealed that she their relationship was filled with physical and verbal abuse.

Elia Ezrré and Jeanette Karam allegedly faced a similar problems with Eleazar, who regained his freedom months after his arrest.

Tefi Valenzuela risked her life

Recently, during her appearance on the reality show Hotel VIP, Tefi Valenzuela confessed that she had risked her life before the arrest of Eleazar Gómez.

«In 2020, I experienced a domestic violence incident that became very public,» the Peruvian artist recalled.

She went on to say that despite her then-boyfriend’s history of violence, she chose to ignore it.

«I didn’t want to see, I didn’t want to believe, and I exposed myself to losing my life by being with him,» she said.

A message after the arrest of Eleazar Gómez

Tefi Valenzuela said that despite everything she went through with Eleazar Gómez, she did not let herself fall.

«What I want people to see is that life continues and does not have to fade because something bad happened to you once, twice, three, or five times,» she said.

The singer added that you should never stop being yourself. Perhaps she did not imagine the outpouring of support and affection she would receive afterward.

«I think I can say I had angels around me beyond my friends, my neighbors who never left me alone,» she concluded.

Venturing into politics?

According to Cuarto Poder, Eleazar Gómez sought to become a deputy for the Party of the Democratic Revolution.

However, as of now, the actor, who was released from prison in March 2021, has not issued any statement in this regard.

On the other hand, just a few months ago, it was announced that the young artist got engaged to his girlfriend, model Jeni de la Vega.
