According to the Oaxaca State Attorney General’s Office, an anonymous call led to the grim discovery in an area known as San Isidro Oriente, believed to have operated as a safe house.
Hana Ali’s body showed multiple gunshot wounds and visible signs of violence, confirming the case as a femicide.

The organization held local authorities responsible for their inaction and demanded a thorough and expedited investigation.
Hana Ali Rosales was the daughter of Alejandro Rosales Olmos, director of the Potable Water System in the municipality, raising suspicions about a possible political or revenge motive.
The Oaxaca Prosecutor’s Office has not ruled out any lines of investigation and suggested that the crime could be linked to Hana Ali Rosales’ community activism and leadership.
During the Huajuapan Expo Fair, Hana had been crowned «Miss Congeniality 2024,» a title that reflected her charisma and community engagement.
«She was a promising, brilliant, empathetic young woman deeply committed to social projects,» wrote Alexander Osorio, president of the Youth Council, on social media.
Osorio also demanded that authorities ensure the case does not go unpunished and vowed that the youth community would not rest until justice is served.

Hana Ali Rosales’ body was transferred to the Forensic Medical Service (SEMEFO) for the corresponding forensic examinations to precisely determine the cause of death.
The news has caused a profound impact, not only due to the brutality of the crime but also because of the victim’s public profile and her commitment to community causes.
Family, friends, and Youth Council members have organized a peaceful march in Hana Ali’s memory to demand progress in the investigation.
«We lost a young and committed voice; we cannot allow this to happen again,» expressed one of her companions during an assembly held outside the Municipal Palace.
Residents near the location where her body was found reported noticing unusual activity in recent days but did not suspect it was tied to organized crime.
According to local media, the area had already been flagged by authorities as a hotspot for criminal activity.
So far, no arrests have been reported, though the FGE has formed a special group to work on solving the case.
The murder of Hana Ali reignites debate about women’s safety in Oaxaca, a state with one of the highest femicide rates in recent years.
Activists and citizens are demanding stronger public policies to eradicate gender-based violence and ensure that perpetrators are held accountable.
Hana Ali Rosales’ case adds to a long list of femicides that have shocked the country and exposed deep flaws in the justice system.
The community of Huajuapan de León remains in mourning, while family and friends continue to demand justice with a unified message: “Not one more,” reported ‘Infobae‘.
