Marcee Gray, 43, is facing charges related to a domestic incident that occurred late last year.

The charge against Marcee Gray was filed on Monday in Ben Hill County, as reported by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
WHAT ARE THE CHARGES AGAINST MARCEE GRAY?

Gray faces charges of elder exploitation after allegedly mistreating her own 74-year-old mother.
According to the police report, Gray is accused of tying her mother to a chair, taking away her phone, and leaving her alone for nearly 24 hours.

These events reportedly occurred while Gray traveled to Barrow County, approximately 320 kilometers away, to confront her ex-husband.
Her ex-husband lived with her son Colt Gray and two other minors.
What Happened to Marcee Gray?
The elder exploitation case is separate from the Apalachee High School shooting, but it adds further tension to a family already affected by tragic events.
Following her mother’s complaint on November 4, authorities arrested Marcee Gray two days later in Barrow County.
She was found guilty of several charges, including trespassing and property damage, and was sentenced to 45 days in jail.
It is unclear whether Marcee Gray currently has legal representation, as attempts to contact her have not been answered.
Marcee Gray’s Family Background
On September 4, Colt Gray, Marcee’s son, turned himself in to police after being accused of opening fire at his high school with an assault rifle he had hidden in his backpack.
During the attack, which occurred in the early hours of class, Colt killed two students and two teachers and injured nine others.
The events have shocked the Apalachee community and the entire state of Georgia, reigniting the debate over school violence.
