• Little Luana Costa was the victim of sexual abuse by a 43-year-old man.
• Her fragile body could not bear it and she died after an induced labor in the fifth month of pregnancy.

Luana Costa will not be able tell the story. Nor will you be able to play with your child as if it were one of your dolls. Is that, this little girl of only 11 years old died giving birth to her premature baby of 5 months of gestation in Brazil.

Luana surrendered, her spirit surrendered

and her body rebelled against the sexual abuse of which she was a victim since she was 9 years old by Francinaldo Moraes, 43 years old.

The victim’s family said Moraes had been raping the girl since she was nine years old, but they only realized it when they noticed that Luana’s tummy grew strangely. I was pregnant and they didn’t even suspect it!

The girl later told the family about the abuse she had suffered for three years.

As the girl felt very bad and was running risks, she was subjected to an induction of labor at 5 months of pregnancy, but she could not bear it and died 4 days later, yesterday, October 27.

The most terrible thing in the story, if there is more horror in it, is that Moraes posed with her in photos as if hers was a normal relationship. Police in the rural municipality of Uruara, in the northern Brazilian state of Pará, said Moraes convinced the girl to pose for photographs with him as if the couple were in a normal adult relationship.

What’s more, it was revealed that he continued to rape her, even though he thought that his was a cold and healthy couple, while the little girl was pregnant with her child. According to her aunt, the man threatened the girl not to tell anyone, and carried out his crimes far from the family’s village.

Moraes had uploaded dozens of photos of the couple to their social media pages, showing a seemingly affectionate bond between the two, despite the illegality of their ‘relationship’.

Police are searching for the suspect, who is still at large and may have fled.

But it is not as easy to unpack as they paint it.

The story, at first glance, tells of a pedophile’s abuse of a girl, continued rape, and early pregnancy.

However, pulling the thread I was able to discover that the girl was not 11 years old, but 13 or 14, although that does not matter because it is still a pedophile relationship.

Moraes would not be 43 years old, but 40, and the girl’s mother and her family would have consented to this relationship outside of all childhood rights.

They had normalized that the little girl was with such an old man, well … that she was with any man.

Maybe that’s why they later said that he raped her when they already knew about this strange couple?

The truth is that Moraes was very calm, until he published that they WERE MARRIED on August 15.

The girl died, apparently, because her son died in her womb and was there for three days until she suffered a massive infection from which they could not bring her back.

Be that as it may, this normalization of aberrations is quite widespread in rural areas, and not so much, throughout our continent. That’s for not putting the language into other cultures, which too.

She is not the first nor will she be the last girl to whom this happens. They stole her childhood, innocence, and life.

Although she may have agreed, she was too young to know what she was up against.

Where is the good judgment of the parents? Or can we not say that because your culture accepts these things? Can we hide behind the traditions of our great-grandparents to go on and on perpetuating horrors like this?

For Luana it is already late. Not for our daughters.
