Beloved radio host Becky Palmer has died. The news was released on Monday, May 15 after radio station B104.7 posted a farewell message on Facebook.

Becky Palmer had been battling cancer for several years. She finally succumbed at the age of 68. The news was confirmed by Tom Owens, who was her partner for more than a decade at B104.7.

“Remembering Becky Palmer… 22 years on air on B104.7. Thank you for all the years of entertainment and dedication to our community. We will miss you forever!» wrote the station on its Facebook account.

“We are heartbroken today with the sad news of the loss of Becky Palmer. Becky’s long battle with cancer was a display of incredible courage. We honor you as a mother, friend, and leader in the broadcast community. God bless you my friend,» Owens wrote on his Facebook account.

Palmer beat cancer once before

Becky Palmer survived breast cancer after leaving the radio show she co-hosted with Owens in 2019. However, she received new cancer diagnosis which ended up taking her life last Sunday, according to CNY Central.

She and her partner Tom Owens were nominated CMA Medium Market Personalities of the Year by the Country Music Association in 2017.

Fans say goodbye to the popular host

On the Facebook post of B104.7 where they remembered Becky Palmer for her years of service, fans were quick to leave condolences.
