Almost three months after the murder of Debanhi Escobar in Nuevo León, a border state of Mexico, images of the 18-year-old girl’s grave have been released. However, to date, the investigation continues and there is no suspect or detainee in her murder.

Could it be that the case has already been forgotten and the pressure against the authorities has diminished over time? For April and part of May, Mexico exploded in outrage over Debanhi’s disappearance. She went to a party with some friends and disappeared until 13 days later when she was found dead in the Nueva Castilla motel.

Has Debanhi’s murder already been forgotten?

Later, Debanhi was sent home by her friends with a driver they said they trusted. She vanished and was later found dead inside a cistern at the Nueva Castilla Motel after her parents had been looking everywhere for her for 13 days not knowing that she was only a few meters away.

The authorities of Nuevo León had different theories and confused everyone with unbelievable theories about the young woman’s death, alleging that she was alive after falling into the cistern and then that she apparently had been murdered, as indicated by the autopsies performed … time has passed and things remain the same.

Where 18-year-old Debanhi rests in peace

According to Nación 3,2,1, while the results of the exhumation of Debanhi’s body are awaited two months after she was buried, a video is now being released showing the 18-year-old Mexican’s tomb.

In a TikTok video shared by @laitaliaherrera, they ask for justice for Debanhi’s death and show what the girl’s grave looks like. She was buried in Escobedo, Nuevo León, where her mother is from. Many were moved by the images.

They painted a beautiful mural in her honor

Although many people expected Debanhi’s tomb to be in poor condition, the truth is that they created a beautiful mural to honor her memory and ask for justice for the 18-year-old girl. The person behind the beautiful creation is Rafael Aguirre, an artist from Tijuana who traveled to Nuevo León to paint it.

Debanhi’s father thanked Rafael Aguirre: “He comes with his family, with his wife with one of their children. He is doing us the favor of first coming with his own resources, with people who have somehow been supporting,” said the man who continues to fight for justice for his daughter.

They make a kind of ‘chapel’ for Debanhi

In the place where Debanhi’s tomb is, you can see a kind of chapel with a sky blue mural and her full name as well as a cross. There is a portrait of her with angel wings and there are two crypts, one where the remains of the young woman are and the other open, apparently for her parents.

In addition to what can be seen at Debanhi’s tomb, it was reported that Rafael Aguirre also went to paint a huge portrait of the girl in her house, located in the Laguna de Labradores ejido in the municipality of Galeana, Nuevo León. «Where my wife is from, where every fifteen days we came as a family to enjoy, this is one of the rooms where we attended or attend,» said her father.

They will exhume her body in a few days

Don Mario Escobar, Debanhi’s father, said there are still more things to be placed at his daughter’s grave. However, he specified that he is waiting for her body’s exhumation to be carried out on the last day of June. Hopefully, this will give police more information to solve the case.

Expert tests will be carried out on Debanhi’s remains that will reveal the state of the girl’s body at the time of her death, something that could not be determined in the first autopsy by the Nuevo León authorities and, apparently, not for the second private one paid for by the family.
