A chilling crime has shocked Brazil: a boy just 14 years old brutally murdered his parents and 3-year-old brother in their home in Itaperuna, in the northwest of Rio de Janeiro state.

The minor was arrested four days after committing the triple homicide.

This followed an alert from his paternal grandmother, who contacted authorities after losing touch with the family.

According to the teenager’s confession, the crime was premeditated and cold-blooded.

He waited until his parents were asleep, calmly entered their bedroom, took his father’s firearm, and shot them in the head as they slept.

Not stopping there, he also executed his younger brother using the same method.

After committing the murders, the teenager hid the bodies inside a water cabinet in the house.

When police first arrived at the home, the boy who had killed his family met them with a fabricated story, claiming his parents had gone to the hospital because his younger brother had swallowed glass. However, officers were not convinced by his account.

The breakthrough came when an uncle of the teenager went to the police with a grave revelation: his nephew had confessed the murders to him.

Officers, acting on this new tip, searched the house more thoroughly and discovered the hidden bodies.

The teenager was arrested immediately.

Police continue to investigate to determine the boy’s motives, and he remains in custody.
