Alejandra Rodríguez hopes to become the oldest Miss Universe

In the run up to the Miss Universe 2024 pageant, Argentina has shaken expectations by crowning a candidate who defies all conventions.
Alejandra Rodríguez, a 60-year-old woman, has been crowned Miss Universe Buenos Aires, making it clear that age doesn’t dictate beauty.
Amazingly, she told local media that she has never had cosmetic surgery.
She attributes her youthful appearance to a combination of «good genes» and a healthy diet.
What is her beauty secret?

In a recent interview, Rodríguez revealed her beauty secret.
Alejandra’s routine includes hitting the gym at least three times a week, which has allowed her to maintain an athletic and toned body.
«When you get older, you have to take more care of yourself to maintain yourself,» she told Rock And Pop radio.
«I always did physical activity and tried to eat healthy, but lately I became interested in natural nutrition,» she added.
What else does Alejandra Rodríguez say?

The age limit to compete for Miss Universe used to be 28.
The lawyer declared that she is single and added that one of her secrets to staying in shape is that she did not have children.
«It’s better alone than in bad company. I got married many years ago, I am divorced and now it has been a while, quite a while, since I have been in a relationship,» she told infobae.
«In my time and my social circle you had to study. I was expected to go to college, that I studied for a career. So I never saw anything like this as a goal» she said.
How has the beauty pageant changed?

Last year, the Miss Universe rules were changed to allow pregnant women to compete.
Now married women and those with children are also eligible, making the contest more diverse and in line with the times.
Rodríguez will be competing with women whose ages range between 18 and 40 years old.
Now, she will compete for Miss Argentina on May 25 in Buenos Aires, according to infobae.
