«I’ve had stages where the comments affected me a lot; I cried, got depressed, and even responded, though I later deleted what I wrote,» confessed the winner of the first edition of Nuestra Belleza Latina.

However, not only Alejandra Espinoza has been the victim of these attacks.

Marrero, who briefly appeared in the conversation, has also been the target of harsh criticism, especially at the beginning of his relationship with Espinoza, when he was labeled as a «freeloader.»

«What’s most worrying is that the insults have transcended the digital realm and affected his everyday life,» reports People en Español.

Insulted in Front of His Son

«People now insult me on the street,» Aníbal Marrero revealed. «Once I was on a plane, and a lady looked at me and said:

‘You should be ashamed, really sitting in first class at the expense of Alejandra’s money?’ American Airlines workers had to intervene to stop the situation.»

Another incident occurred while he was shopping with his son Matteo. «I went to pay, and a lady told me: ‘You’re paying with Ale’s card, right?'» Marrero shared. In that instance, he decided to respond. «That card, not even Ale gets it, they give it to me,» he retorted.
