The passing of a legendary television voiceover artist has been confirmed. it should be noted that Graham Skidmore never appeared on screen, however his iconic voice made him a leader in his field.

He was affectionately known as ‘Our Graham’. It should be noted that during the years 1993 to 2002 his voice became even more recognized when he was heard performing the voiceover for the comedy panel of Vic and Bob’s Shooting Stars program. He was the father of three children and had five grandchildren.

The tributes and farewell messages were immediate as soon as the death of the legendary voice of Blind Date was made public. One of his sons said: «Maybe he didn’t want to be seen on screen, but he had a celebrity voice, a well-known voice.”

“When we were kids, we used to do TV commercials with him. We would go out and be a family for the P and O tours and the Abbey National,” said Radnage’s Neil. According to The Sun, his daughter Catherine Johnson, 52, revealed that her father, apart from being a renowned voice, wanted to be a doctor and even took some exams, but ended up failing the last ones due to an ear infection.

“Dad was self-employed and had other lines of work. He had a laundromat, a corner store, and did some flooring. So there was some kind of consistency. He was on Blind Date and then Shooting Stars, he was in a St Trinians movie, a Style Council video with Paul Weller and he was in the background of a Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman movie, Eyes Wide Shut.
