One person was wounded by gunfire in an incident involving the US Border Patrol in southern Pima County, Arizona.
The incident occurred around 7:30 a.m. near milepost 15 on West Arivaca Road, according to NBC News.
The individual, whose identity has not been released, received initial medical care at the scene from the Santa Rita Fire District and American Medical Response.

The fire department reported that the victim was airlifted in critical condition to a regional trauma center by medical helicopter.
