CF Pachuca is one of four clubs from the Concacaf region to qualify for the FIFA Club World Cup 2025™, which will take place in the United States.

How They Qualified

The Mexican powerhouse secured its spot in the FIFA Club World Cup 2025™ by defeating Columbus Crew 3–0 in the final of the Concacaf Champions Cup. Pachuca joins Club León, Monterrey, and Seattle Sounders as regional representatives.

CF Pachuca History

Founded by English miners, the club began as Pachuca Football Club and later became Pachuca Athletic Club following various mergers. As one of the founding teams of the Mexican League in 1902, they claimed their first title in the 1904–1905 season. Though they faced turbulent years, CF Pachuca emerged as a dominant force in Mexican football during the 1990s, achieving national and international success, including their historic Copa Sudamericana title in 2006.

Club Legends

  • Miguel Calero
    A club legend and iconic goalkeeper, Calero played nearly 500 matches and led the team to numerous domestic and international titles. He remains a beloved figure across Mexico.
  • Franco Jara
    The club’s all-time top scorer with 83 goals, Jara was instrumental in winning the Liga MX in 2016 and the Concacaf Champions Cup in 2017.
