The death of Colombian singer Yeison Jiménez shocked the country this Saturday after authorities confirmed that he lost his life in a plane crash in Paipa, Boyacá.
The artist was traveling aboard a private aircraft that crashed on the afternoon of January 10, shortly after taking off from the local airport.

Three members of his entourage also died in the crash, along with the pilot and co-pilot of the aircraft, according to El Universal.

The flight failed to gain sufficient altitude and ended up engulfed in flames in a field near the end of the runway, according to available information.
The musician was traveling on a charter flight and was scheduled to perform at a concert that same Saturday night in Marinilla, Colombia.

Through an official statement, Yeison Jiménez’s work team confirmed his death and shared a heartfelt farewell message.
The statement highlighted the singer’s personal and artistic legacy, emphasizing his human values.
“With our hearts in our hands and an indescribable pain, we deeply regret to inform you of his passing,” the statement reads.
The message stresses that not only an artist is being mourned, but also a son, brother, friend, and a human being full of dreams.
His team remembered Yeison as a person defined by courage, perseverance, discipline, and love for his people.
The statement also listed the names of the other victims who were part of his work team.
Among them were Jefferson Osorio, Juan Manuel Rodríguez, Óscar Marín, and Weisman Mora.
The death of Captain Fernando Torres, pilot of the private aircraft, was also confirmed.
RTVC released images from the crash site, showing the burned remains of the aircraft after impact.

After the news broke, past statements by Yeison Jiménez resurfaced in which he spoke about recurring dreams involving plane crashes.
The artist publicly discussed these experiences in several interviews over recent months.
On the podcast Los hombres sí lloran, aired on April 9, 2025, he described one of those episodes in striking detail.
“I see the accident three times—I’ve never said this before,” he said during the conversation, visibly shaken.
He explained that the first dream occurred on May 24, 2024, and filled him with terror, anxiety, and deep emotional distress.
In the dream, he insisted that the pilot carefully inspect the aircraft before takeoff.
Despite that, he described how a technical failure caused the crash and ultimately his death.
During the interview, he admitted feeling a severe headache as he recalled the dream’s scenes.
Later, on the program Se dice de mí, aired by Caracol Televisión on December 20, he revisited the topic.
“I dreamed that we had died and that we appeared on the news,” he said—words that now resonate deeply.
