Journalist Débora Estrella died this Saturday, September 20, at the age of 43 following a small plane crash in García, Nuevo León.
The newspaper Milenio confirmed the news, citing the State Civil Protection Office regarding the accident. Estrella was traveling with pilot Bryan Leonardo Ballesteros Argueta, who also lost his life.
Notably, in her last Instagram post, the Mexican journalist shared an image of the aircraft where she would later perish, captioned with the phrase “Guess what.”
The crash occurred near the Ciudad Mitras Industrial Park, with no survivors reported, according to early reports.

Authorities indicated that the incident occurred around 6:50 p.m. in the Laderas/Riberas Interpuerto area, according to Univision.
So far the cause of the aircraft’s fall has not been revealed, although an official investigation has already begun.

The news generated consternation among the journalistic community and viewers, who highlighted Débora Estrella’s career in the media of Nuevo León.
In a statement published by Milenio, Multimedios expressed its sorrow: “We are devastated and deeply regret the loss of our colleague.”
