After days of rumors and dropping the names of possible hosts, Despierta América confirmed who will be the newest face of the program and with a warm welcome, they began a new era for the show.

Despierta América has faced many scandals and it seems that the arrival of this new host could change the situation for the better. The show’s troubled streak began with Carlos Calderón, who is still going through a custody battle with his son’s mother.

DESPIERTA AMERICA INTRODUCES A NEW FACE

With a friendly welcome, Alan Tacher announced the appearance of a new presenter on the program and stated that he is happy to be able to announce the start of a new era for Despierta América. Tacher announced that Lindsay Casinelli, the famous presenter and sports journalist, will join the program.

Lindsay Casinelli, the famous presenter of TUDN, hosted Combate Global, but now she has begun a new chapter by joining the popular Univisión program. On social media, the Venezuelan announced that she is «happy and grateful to be with the public every morning.»

Casinelli declared that her purpose on Despierta América is to be able to teach the audience of the popular Univisión program about sports. She said that she would help people who don’t understand sports lingo. Likewise, they pointed out that she will have her own segment.
