Entrepreneur Elon Musk shared an image on his social media platform X this Tuesday of an alleged urine analysis showing negative results for drug use, apparently in response to a recent report by The New York Times that accuses him of regularly using narcotics.

The post was simply captioned with “lol,” short for “laughing out loud.”

The image displays a test performed at a lab in Austin, Texas, on June 11. The results reportedly came back negative for multiple substances, including benzodiazepines, amphetamines, MDMA, barbiturates, cocaine, ketamine, opioids, fentanyl, cannabis, tramadol, and alcohol.

Although the authenticity of the test has not been officially confirmed, the post appears intended to discredit the recent journalistic claims.

A few days earlier, The New York Times published an article citing anonymous sources close to Musk, claiming that the Tesla and SpaceX founder consumes a “significant amount of drugs daily.”

Musk has strongly denied these accusations on X, calling them false and defamatory.

The test was reportedly conducted on the same day Musk publicly apologized to President Donald Trump for crossing certain lines in their past online exchanges.

In that post, Musk admitted that he “went too far” during a discussion with the president about the new budget proposal introduced by the White House.
