The Emiliano Aguilar controversy continues to make headlines after the young rapper posted an emotional and defiant message on social media directed at his father Pepe Aguilar and his siblings Ángela, Leonardo, and Aneliz.

The eldest son of the Por mujeres como tú performer shared an AI-generated image of himself walking five pug dogs, which—according to him—represent the “family of dogs” he feels alienated from.

The photo came with a striking caption criticizing his family: “You’ll see that very soon, and without daddy’s help or ‘the wife he’s got by his side,’ I’m building my artistic career (…) family of dogs,” wrote the artist, fueling what social media has now dubbed the Emiliano Aguilar controversy .

He proudly closed his message by referencing his roots: “Pure Tijuana 664 and Jalisco,” he concluded.

The Origin of the Aguilar Family Conflict

The Emiliano Aguilar controversy reportedly began after the artist attended the Billboard Latin Music Awards on October 23, where he claims to have been publicly humiliated.

According to his own account, he was formally invited to the event at the James L. Knight Center but was moved to a less favorable seat despite having a preferred location near the stage.

He accused his father, Pepe Aguilar, of influencing organizers to have him sidelined.

“It was you, dad. You’re an a**hole… I don’t understand how you could do that to your own son,” Emiliano said in a furious video, where he also called his siblings “snakes.”

Sarcasm, Criticism, and Viral Images

Only hours later, the rapper added more fuel to the Emiliano Aguilar controversy by posting the viral AI photomontage with the pugs—a sarcastic jab at his relatives.

Followers compared the post to an older image shared by Leonardo Aguilar, who had also used the family dog “El Gordo” to poke fun at earlier family tensions.

Another AI image released by Emiliano showed Christian Nodal, Ángela Aguilar’s boyfriend, hugging both Pepe and Leonardo Aguilar—a mix of humor and provocation that fans quickly circulated online.

The young musician insists he will build his career without relying on the Aguilar name, turning the Emiliano Aguilar controversy into a statement of independence.
