A Wide Price Range
FIFA has unveiled the official ticket prices for the 2026 World Cup during its general sales phase.
According to the organization, the minimum cost per ticket will be $60 (about 1,123 Mexican pesos), while the maximum will reach around $7,000 (126,000 pesos). With this range, world football’s governing body seeks to attract different types of fans to a tournament that will be held across the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
The announcement was confirmed through a statement released on Wednesday, generating anticipation among fans throughout the continent. The 2026 World Cup, set to become the largest in history with 48 national teams, promises not only thrilling sports action but also a unique experience for those attending the matches.

FIFA also reminded fans that it will implement a “dynamic pricing” system, already tested during the 2025 Club World Cup.
This system adjusts ticket values based on demand: for some matches, tickets could become more expensive, while for others, they could drop dramatically.
The New York Times highlighted that during the Club World Cup, ticket prices dropped by as much as 84% for certain matches—suggesting the possibility of more affordable options for some games at the 2026 World Cup.
The measure is designed to provide flexibility and make tickets accessible to a broader range of fans, although it also raises uncertainty about the final costs for high-demand matches.
It is worth noting that FIFA had previously revealed Hospitality package prices for stadiums in Mexico, ranging from 35,000 to 130,000 pesos (equivalent to $1,845 to $6,900).
In comparison, general ticket sales offer a much more affordable alternative for most fans.

The ticket purchase process will begin on September 10 with an exclusive lottery for Visa customers, who may register until September 19 to access about one million tickets.
Those selected will have the opportunity to buy starting October 1.
Each fan may purchase up to four tickets per match and a maximum of 10 matches in total, in an effort to ensure fairer distribution among supporters.
With the price announcement, excitement continues to build around a tournament that will be historic not only for the number of participating teams but also for the massive global interest in experiencing the World Cup in North America.
