On Tuesday morning around 6:30 a.m., Dunnellon, Florida police responded to a terrible tragedy.

According to the Daily Mail, a terrible bus accident left eight dead and at least 45 people injured

The bus was carrying migrant workers who were allegedly on their way to a watermelon farm.

Florida bus accident leaves several dead and injured

The first reports from media such as the Daily Mail and The Sun indicate that there are at least eight dead and 45 injured.

Of those people, at least 37 are in serious condition and were taken to the hospital.

Authorities announced that the bus was carrying 53 migrant workers who were on their way to work on a farm.

Initially it was indicated that the accident involved a school bus, but that was corrected after it was reported that a Marion County school bus was carrying the injured to the hospital.
