This is not the first time that rumors have spread saying that Ana María Cristina Polo González, better known as Dr. Polo, who hosted the controversial program Caso Cerrado for almost 20 years, has died.

There is even a video on YouTube claiming to show images of her funeral. Could it be true?

Born on April 11, 1959 in Havana, Cuba, Ana María Polo is a lawyer and television presenter.

She has millions of followers on social media. On her official Instagram account alone, she has over two million followers.

Did Dr. Polo die?

The Animaland YouTube channel shared a video, dated April 20 of this year that, so far, has more than 16,000 views.

It has the disturbing title: Live funeral of Dr. Ana María Polo. Funeral and Burial of Ana María Polo, which provoked all kinds of reactions among internet users.

In the first place, at the same time that images of a funeral are observed, a voice is heard saying that the former host of Caso Cerrado died in Miami, Florida.

Supposedly she drowned and her body showed no signs of violence. No further details have been released.

Allegedly Ana María Polo had gone out to buy cigarettes

Later, it was reported that, according to relatives of the lawyer, Dr. Polo had gone out to buy cigarettes at night and never returned.

Her body was discovered by a person walking near the scene at 6:30 in the morning. The authorities believe that Ana María Polo drowned, ruling out a violent death.

«I tried to revive her, but unfortunately she was dead,» said Marcos Carbono, a resident of this city who was walking near the area where the body of the former host of Caso Cerrado was said to be found.

Miguel Díaz-Canel, President of Cuba, offered his condolences: «We regret her untimely loss.»

Dr. Polo appeared for the first time on television in 2001 on the Telemundo show, Sala de Parejas.

From the beginning, she showed what her hosting style would be, which delighted the viewers.

Years later, the show changed its name, as well as the format, and was called Caso Cerrado, which brought Ana María Polo enormous success.
