Journalist María Luisa Valdés confirmed the tragic news through her official X (formerly Twitter) account, reporting out that it occurred on Saturday, February 3.
«I confirm the death of the great Helena Rojo, she died at 3 in the morning,» declared the journalist.

Journalist Alejandro Taibo revealed that Rojo suffered from liver cancer but she chose to keep her diagnosis a secret from the public.
«So much so that she continued working,» he said, confirming that the actress endured a tough battle but wanted to keep it a secret.
For that reason, the popular star has stayed out of the public since 2023 when she filmed Vencer la Culpa.
