Holman Hernandez was arrested in Texas on charges of aggravated kidnapping of a three-year-old girl whom he took to a motel room. The Houston Police Department (HPD) broke into the room where the man was hours after having taken the little girl.

Holman Hernández, 50, is being detained in the Harris County jail, waiting to face his first hearing before a judge for serious charges. The Texas State Penal Code details that the charge of aggravated kidnapping is punishable by a sentence of two to ten years in prison.

Holman Hernández kidnapped a 3-year-old girl

After Holman Hernández kidnapped the girl, an Amber Alert was triggered in the state of Texas. The signal puts all police departments on guard when a child disappears or is kidnapped. The little girl is already under the care of doctors in Houston.

Holman Hernández’s kidnapping of the little girl had the detectives of the HPD Missing Persons Division on edge until they were able to rescue her. According to Troy Finner, the head of HPD, the little girl is in good health under medical care.

The girl’s mother left her asleep on her bed

According to a statement from HPD, kidnapper Holman Hernández, 50, stole little Lincy Guitry from her parents’ apartment in Houston in the early hours of Sunday, August 21, 2022. The kidnapper is not related to the girl’s family.

The HPD investigation details that the girl was last seen in her bedroom at a home located at 12800 Northborough Drive in the Greenspoint neighborhood of north Houston. Little Lincy Guirty was dressed only in her purple long-sleeved pajamas.

The next morning the family discovered her missing

According to HPD, the mother last saw Lincy Guitry at 11:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 20, 2022, lying on her bed. The mother left the apartment to go to a neighbor’s house upstairs for a little while. That was the moment that Holman Hernández took advantage of. The little girl was left home alone.

After the gathering at the neighbor’s house ended, all the guests returned to their homes. Lincy Guitry’s parents returned to their department. At 5:00 am on Sunday, August 21, the parents woke up and went to their daughter’s room.

A frantic search in Texas

However, when the parents got to the room, Lincy Guity was no longer in her bed. The couple then called the HPD emergency number to report the disappearance. Several officers responded and that’s when Holman Hernandez’s name came up.

HPD’s Missing Persons Division knows that Holman Hernandez was one of the guests at the neighbor’s meeting at Lincy Guitry’s apartment complex. Holman Hernández’s wife herself spoke with the authorities to reveal details of the kidnapping.

Holman Hernández is named in the investigation

According to the woman, her husband left the meeting but then called to tell her that his car had just been stolen and he had to leave urgently. The woman claimed that when Holman Hernández spoke to her in the middle of the night, she heard the voice of another woman and that of a little girl who could be Lincy Guitry.

On the afternoon of the same Sunday, August 21, 2022, detectives from the HPD Homicide Division discovered that Holman Hernández was hiding in the Scottish Inn motel, 431 Rankin Road, in the Cranbrook Augusta neighborhood in the north of the Houston metropolitan area.

Police rescued the little girl from the motel room

Detectives from the HPD Missing Persons Division, with the support of officers from other divisions, went to the Scottish Inn motel room where Holman Hernandez was hiding with the little girl. The clue that led them to that location was the fugitive’s car that was parked outside.

When the HPD agents arrived at the motel they did not even knock on the door because of the child in danger. After a brief struggle, the officers were able to subdue and detain Holman Hernández. A female officer took charge of Lincy Guirty to hand her over to the doctors.
