- Trump strengthens national security
- Bounties for killings confirmed
Kristi Noem, the U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security, issued a grave warning about an escalating wave of violence targeting the nation’s immigration enforcement agents.
According to Noem, drug cartels and gangs are offering cash rewards for capturing or killing agents of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
In an interview with Fox News, Noem stated that this situation represents not only a threat to public safety but also a direct attack on the enforcement of U.S. immigration law.
U.S. intelligence agencies have reportedly detected plans for coordinated attacks, increasing the risk for agents operating in the field.

Since the beginning of President Donald Trump’s administration, official reports have shown an 830% increase in assaults against ICE personnel.
This surge has intensified since January, when Trump reinstated a tougher immigration policy focused on detaining and deporting undocumented migrants.

Noem explained that the violence is not an isolated phenomenon but part of a broader strategy by cartels to destabilize law enforcement institutions.
According to intelligence reports, criminal groups are offering $2,000 for kidnapping an ICE agent and $10,000 for killing one.

Authorities have also detected the spread of ICE agents’ personal information and photographs through criminal networks, worsening the threat.
“The intent behind these attacks is not to protest or resist but to undermine the rule of law,” Noem declared, according to El Financiero.
The official stated that the government is implementing additional protection measures, though she acknowledged that the risk remains high.
President Trump has ordered the deployment of the National Guard to critical areas for national security, including Washington, D.C., and Chicago — described by officials as a “war zone” due to cartel and gang-related violence.
Cartels Put a Price on ICE Agents
Federal authorities insist their top priority is ensuring agent safety and strengthening cooperation with local law enforcement.
However, Noem’s warning underscores the severity of a growing threat that directly links criminal cartel violence with immigration enforcement operations across the United States.
The ICE agents cartel threats highlight the need for greater coordination, security, and awareness as immigration officers face unprecedented dangers on U.S. soil.
