Eight individuals, including the owners of a bakery, were detained during an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operation in Los Fresnos, Texas.

In the recording, the cries and screams of a young girl can be heard, while several employees stand behind the counter surrounded by trays of bread.

The woman who filmed the event expressed her outrage: «I’m so sorry, I’m sorry. That these things are happening, I’m so sorry,» she said as she tried to comfort those present.

She also asked whether the mother of one of the affected employees had been detained, adding: «She didn’t do anything wrong, just worked.»

This left regular customers feeling uncertain and fearful.

Community Fear and Tension Escalate Due to ICE Raids

The operation has stirred anxiety among local residents.

One customer who approached the bakery commented: «Poor people. Today it’s them, tomorrow it could be us—or even you. We just don’t know anymore.»

Another driver voiced his concern: «It scared me. What if now, just for being brown, they stop me and arrest me without warning?»

So far, ICE has not confirmed whether they had a court order to enter the bakery or specified the exact charges against those detained.

The lack of official information has only intensified the fear and uncertainty among the immigrant community and others worried about becoming the next targets of these raids.
