The fourteen detainees were described by the agency as “undocumented noncitizens.”
According to shared information, all had criminal records.
Among the records were cases of domestic violence and assault.
Authorities added that some had illegally reentered the country after prior deportations.
As reported by local media, the operation is part of ongoing efforts to reinforce immigration control throughout South Florida.

Amid the arrests, one case drew particular public attention due to a video recorded by bystanders.
In the footage, a woman is seen shouting that she was a U.S. citizen while immigration agents detained her beside her vehicle.
The clip circulated widely on social media and raised questions about the procedure.
According to Local 10, an immigration spokesperson clarified that the woman had been driving the vehicle of an “undocumented noncitizen.”
Additionally, she “refused to comply with repeated lawful orders from law enforcement to identify herself.”
Due to this refusal, agents removed her from the vehicle.
She was briefly held while her identity was confirmed.
Once verified, she was released immediately.
Authorities stressed that her detention was momentary and strictly for identity confirmation.
What comes next in the investigation?
Operations in the Keys will continue, according to the agencies involved in immigration oversight.
The primary focus will remain on identifying individuals with criminal histories or prior illegal reentries.
This week’s arrests fall under a joint strategy that combines aerial, maritime, and ground surveillance.
Authorities have not indicated any additional charges for the fourteen detainees.
They have also not released details on their immigration proceedings following the arrests.
However, they emphasized that criminal records will be weighed throughout the process.
The case involving the woman in the viral video has reignited debate over interactions between law enforcement and civilians during immigration operations.
The agency reiterated that its intervention followed established protocols.
Operations in high-traffic areas such as the Keys are common and often draw public attention when citizen recordings are involved.
For now, the Border Patrol has not released further information regarding future scheduled operations.
