Despite initial hopes, the negotiations made no progress, and both sides blame each other for the breakdown of the talks.

In addition to the attack in Nuseirat, another Israeli airstrike in central Gaza killed at least 12 people and left more than 40 injured, according to Dr. Mohammed Abu Salmiya, director of Al-Shifa Medical Complex.
Among the dead was Ahmad Qandeel, a prominent doctor in Gaza, whose death was a severe blow to the local medical community.
Conditions in Gaza are continuing to deteriorate rapidly.
Sam Rose, acting director of UNRWA, told CNN that the situation is “worse than ever” and that Palestinians are forced to make “impossible choices,” such as deciding between starving or risking death in search of aid.
Conclusion
The violence was not limited to airstrikes.
On Saturday, 27 people were killed and many more wounded when Israeli soldiers opened fire on civilians trying to receive aid at a distribution point in Rafah.
Although the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) denied reports of violence, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) confirmed that 132 people arrived at its hospital with gunshot wounds, 25 of them dead on arrival.
This pattern of violence against civilians is being condemned internationally.
The UN estimates that nearly 800 Palestinians have died while trying to access humanitarian aid since late May.
The situation in Gaza remains critical, and the international community faces an urgent challenge to alleviate the suffering of civilians caught in the conflict.
