According to The Sun another crew member told the local media that he had heard a ‘pop’, “I don’t even know who would do this or why. I didn’t hear an argument or nothing. It was quiet. Early morning. It was just a pop, and the dude ran up towards Nassau [Avenue]. I only heard one bang, but I don’t know how many shots,» the man said.

The crew member revealed that he had known the victim for seven years and noted that they had a good relationship and that he was «like a brother.» The employee told the New York Post the following: “He was a great guy, always laughing or making somebody laugh, you know?” Johnny Pizarro left behind three children and a wife.
