The LGBT+ calendar: International Gay Pride Day

This commemoration traces its origins to the Stonewall Riots that occurred in New York City in 1969, marking the beginning of the gay rights movement.
However, the LGBT+ community still faces discrimination, intolerance and violence due to their sexual orientation or gender identity.
The International Day of LGBT+ Pride, also known as Gay Pride Day, is celebrated annually on June 28 worldwide.
This day is an opportunity to reaffirm identities and sexual orientations that have historically been marginalized and suppressed by society.
Support for the entire community

It’s important to highlight dates on the LGBT+ calendar such as November 16, which is International Day for Tolerance, aimed at fostering respect among people.

Every October 11 marks National Coming Out Day, aimed at raising awareness about this difficult process.
