Venezuelan actress Liliana Rodríguez sparked controversy after launching harsh criticism at the music of Bad Bunny, one of reggaeton’s most influential artists.
During her appearance on Carolina Tejera’s podcast, the daughter of Lila Morillo and José Luis Rodríguez expressed her rejection of the Puerto Rican singer’s style.
With her trademark bluntness, she said she does not agree with the success of the urban star and doesn’t even recommend his music to her own daughter.
“Galilea was very clear from an early age. I told her: everything is ready for you, but not everything is good for you,” she said while talking about raising her daughter.
“Trash of Bad Bunny”

Rodríguez explained that she has always sought to guide Galilea in making decisions, even about what she listens to.
It was in that context that she dropped a phrase that has sparked heated debate on social media.

“You choose whether you listen to the trash of Bad Bunny or whether you listen to Rachmaninoff. You choose if you want to listen to a Cardi B—what’s the name of that crazy one? Or the other Colombian one. But you could listen to Mozart or Chopin,” she said.
The Venezuelan compared Bad Bunny’s music to classical composers, leaving no doubt about her total rejection of reggaeton.
Strict Parenting for Her Daughter
The former panelist of the show ¡Siéntese Quien Pueda! emphasized that, as a single mother, she took on the challenge of raising her daughter with discipline and values.
“When the head of the family, the man, is absent, with such great responsibility, God gives double the strength of a buffalo to the woman so she can handle it,” she said.
For Rodríguez, music and food are key aspects of a person’s development, and for that reason, she made sure Galilea was “exclusive about what she eats and listens to.”
She insisted that this firmness has been fundamental in shaping her daughter’s tastes and personality.
A Watchful Upbringing
In the interview, she also spoke about parental responsibility in children’s lives.
“I wouldn’t change anything about how I raised my daughter,” she said firmly.
According to Liliana Rodríguez, parents play a much more important role in this regard than teachers do.
“You have to pay attention to what they listen to, who they hang out with, what they carry in their bag, what they write. It’s a constant job, and it’s not the teachers’ responsibility,” she added.
Reactions to Liliana Rodríguez’s Comments and Public Debate
Rodríguez’s statements did not go unnoticed and sparked a wide debate among supporters and critics.
Some backed her stance, arguing that she defends traditional values against the influence of urban music.
Others criticized her remarks, saying that dismissing popular artists reflects an intolerant attitude.
What’s certain is that Liliana Rodríguez’s Bad Bunny comments once again drew media attention with her direct, no-filter opinions, according to El Diario NY.
