Controversy erupted a few days ago after Lucerito Mijares was teased on Qué Importa, hosted by Eduardo Videgaray, Sofía Rivera and José, El Estaca, Ramón.

The three presenters took the opportunity to make comments about Lucero and Manuel Mijares’ daughter’s physique.

Qué Importa hosts mock Lucerito’s figure

Videgaray, El Estaca and Rivera mocked Lucerito’s physical appearance during their show, sparking a wave of disapproval on social media.

Given this, the hosts were forced to apologize on the Imagen Televisión program.

The video showing the taunts was shared Qué Importa’s official Instagram account but was later deleted.

However, Lucero’s reaction was recorded on social media, where she wrote: «CANCELED FOREVER.»

Lucero defends Lucerito Mijares, praising her as a «beautiful, admirable young girl» and criticized those who make fun of others, calling them «mediocre» and lacking intelligence.

«Poor to the mediocre, poor to those who have no intelligence, poor to those who have nothing to say but make fun of others,» she wrote.

«That’s right, they don’t know us, nor do we know them, fortunately. We don’t care about them. The only thing that matters to us is supporting and loving each other. Long live women and people who respect others,» she added.

Lucero’s post was accompanied by a video in which Lucerito Mijares was asked about the controversy.

Even before making fun of Lucerito, the hosts were making sarcastic comments about Lucero and Mijares’ split.

Then, when showing a photo of Mijares with his daughter, they made derogatory comments such as: «Who is who? She is the daughter that Mijares had with Mijares… which one is Mijares and which one is the daughter?

«Look, she looks like Mijares but she sings like Lucero, God takes away and God takes away again,» they added.

The comments not only focused on Lucerito’s physical appearance, but also her previous statements.

Previously, Lucerito said that she had been mistaken for a man for wearing a cap, a comment that the hosts highlighted when ridiculing her.

Sofia Rivera even compared Lucerito Mijares to Wendy Guevara from La Casa de los Famosos México.

«Lucerito, you are not alone. Something very similar happens to Wendy Guevara all the time. You’re in very good company, sister,» she scoffed.

Lucero reaffirmed her support for her daughter and all the people who are the object of unjustified ridicule, highlighting the importance of respect and solidarity.
