Luis López faces 9 charges of child pornography and could be deported

Luis López never aroused the slightest suspicion in those around him, but what he shared online was shocking.

The Miami-Dade police investigation lasted four months and its findings brought to light the twisted thoughts of the 25-year-old man.

Nine videos in a Google account belonging to the Nicaraguan man sparked investigators’ suspicions.

In August, officers began tracking the email address and arrived at 24th Street in northwest Miami, Florida with a court order.

Luis López is charged with possessing images of child sexual abuse

«Everything had to be verified before the arrest could be made,» Miami Police spokesman Mike Vega explained at a press conference.

What they found on the suspect’s electronic devices left the officers speechless.

The videos showed children between four and 11 years old who were forced to engage in sexual activities with adults, the police detailed in the arrest warrant.

«We do not think that he is the person in the video, but we do know that he used the internet to watch these videos and perhaps send them to other people,» Vega clarified.

He faces serious charges

Lopez was immediately placed under arrest and faces nine counts of child pornography.

«Watching, downloading and sending any video that contains a minor having any type of sexual activity with an adult is illegal, it is a felony and it is grounds for arrest,» said the police spokesman.

The detainee is being held in the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center. He is also at the disposal of an immigration court, and could be deported.

The investigation has not concluded as authorities are still examining the computer and the rest of the devices owned by Lopez in search of more evidence against him.
