Michelle Obama celebrated her 31st wedding anniversary, but she left her husband at home and enjoyed a well-deserved vacation.
She spent time in Italy with her friends Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson, as well as director Steven Spielberg.
Michelle reportedly went on a lavish trip with her Hollywood friends on a $250 million yacht.
They relaxed off the coast of Portofino, Italy, while her husband Barack stayed in California.
The former first lady takes time to relax
Photos floating around social media show Michelle Obama relaxing with her friends on a smaller boat.
She wore a cream-colored one-piece swimsuit and accessorized it with stylish sunglasses.
Rita Wilson wore a black swimsuit, while her husband Tom Hanks wore a white shirt.
Steven Spielberg was wearing a blue shirt and a white hat.
Did Michelle Obama run away from her husband?
In another image, Obama and Wilson are having fun in the water while using snorkel gear to explore marine life.
Spielberg’s yacht, called the Seven Seas, was purchased this summer and is estimated to be worth $250 million.
According to the Daily Mail, this luxurious vessel has two swimming pools, a movie theater and a helicopter landing pad.
Michelle Obama has enjoyed her vacation to the fullest, as she celebrates her wedding anniversary away from her husband.
Photogs catch her from a bad angle
In recent months, Michelle Obama has been photographed in different places including Mallorca and Madrid, where she spent a few days with her friends.
Before that, she was seen in New York with her husband Barack Obama, enjoying the US Open and having a conversation with Coco Gauff.
However, among all the photos they captured of the former first lady there is one in showing her from behind, wearing cream colored bikini bottoms.
Everything seems to indicate that she was not aware of the presence of the cameras.
Some people thought the photos were in bad taste
Some social media users were upset with the people who took that photograph, while others applauded her «great body.»
«They take the worst photo of her and still upload it just to be criticized,» wrote one internet user.
«Pretty lady, you look very good for your age.» «I would like to look like that at 59 years old,» others commented.
