The victim alerted the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office, revealing she had been kidnapped in Missoula.
The woman escaped her captor by jumping from a moving car in Columbia Falls, located at the intersection of Highway 2 and Highway 206.

An attempted kidnapping in Missoula, Montana

Passersby who witnessed the incident assisted the victim in calling 911, providing crucial details of the suspect’s vehicle.
The investigation intensified when another call was received indicating that Montana kidnapping suspect had abandoned his vehicle and was on foot near the railroad tracks in Marias Pass.
Law enforcement initiated a foot chase that ended with the use of non-lethal tactics to capture the fugitive, according to KPAX.
The suspect, identified as 24-year-old Adam Whiteman, was initially taken to Kalispell Logan Health Medical Center for an evaluation.

Surprisingly, Adam Whiteman managed to escape from police after the medical evaluation, triggering another foot pursuit.
Whiteman’s second escape concluded at Lawrence Park, near a golf course, where he was finally recaptured.
Sheriff Brian Heino confirmed that the vehicle used in the kidnapping had been stolen in Missoula.
Adam Whiteman now faces multiple charges, including kidnapping, theft, escape, intimidation, unlawful restraint, resisting arrest and obstructing justice.
