Bad news continues for the entertainment world in Mexico.

On the night of Friday, January 3rd, armed men intercepted musician and producer Fernando «El Colorín» Jiménez in Salvatierra, Guanajuato.

The leader of the Banda Real was shot while driving his car.

After seeing that he was still alive, the men finished him off without mercy. Rest in peace…

Fernando ‘El Colorín’ Jiménez Was Accompanied

According to reports from El Blog del Narco, Fernando «El Colorín» Jiménez was accompanied by a woman when he was murdered.

At the moment, it has not been reported whether she was hit by the bullets or remained unharmed.

Witnesses reported that the men who shot at the musician and Mexican producer were traveling on a motorcycle.

Authorities have not been able to locate them.

Before founding Banda Real, Fernando «El Colorín» Jiménez was a producer for Saúl El Jaguar, Joan Sebastian, Alejandro Fernández, and Jenni Rivera.

According to El Sol del Bajío, the Municipal Government of Salvatierra stated in a statement that it will collaborate with the investigations.

In 2022, the musical group, with the goal of promoting regional Mexican music, traveled to Paris, France.

It was their first time traveling outside of Mexico.

One of the personalities who reacted to the death of Fernando «El Colorín» Jiménez was Blanca Martínez.

The host, better known as La Chicuela, sent her deepest condolences to the family of the Mexican musician and producer.

For their part, the members of Banda Real bid their final farewell to Fernando «El Colorín» Jiménez with an emotional message on their official Facebook page.

«We have no words for such a situation. May God receive you with open arms in eternal glory. Rest in peace, boss. We will miss you more than you can imagine.»
