Journalist and TV host Myrka Dellanos has reportedly been dismissed from La Mesa Caliente, according to Argentine commentator Javier Ceriani. The news surprised Telemundo viewers, as Dellanos had been part of the program since its debut.
According to journalist Mandy Fridmann, the Cuban-American host was called Wednesday morning to Telemundo Center’s Human Resources department, where she was informed of her definitive removal from the afternoon show she co-hosted with Giselle Blondet and Verónica Bastos.
Reports indicate that the decision is part of a new wave of staff cuts across the Spanish-language network. Among those affected is also Jessica Maldonado, Los Angeles correspondent for Al Rojo Vivo.
Hours later, the show itself confirmed the news live on air. However, Myrka has not issued any public statement regarding her departure.

During Wednesday’s broadcast, La Mesa Caliente opened with an official message: “Please note that our colleague Myrka Dellanos will no longer be part of this program,” said Giselle Blondet on camera.
Blondet praised her co-host’s “professionalism and dedication,” thanking her for her contributions since the show’s launch. “Myrka helped position us as one of the leading afternoon programs in Spanish,” she added.

The message concluded by wishing Dellanos success in her future projects. She, however, chose to remain silent and only shared religious messages on social media.
On Instagram, both she and Jessica Maldonado removed any mention of Telemundo from their bios — indirectly confirming the dismissal rumors circulating earlier that day.
Ceriani Talks About “Egos and Internal Betrayals”

Journalist Javier Ceriani broke the story on Instagram with an explosive message: “BREAKING NEWS! Myrka Dellanos is out of La Mesa Caliente… and no one saw it coming!”
Ceriani claimed that the decision stemmed from “tension, egos, and internal betrayals.” He even suggested possible censorship issues or personal conflicts within the network.
Although Telemundo has not commented on those allegations, Dellanos’ departure adds to a series of recent programming changes. The cuts have generated uncertainty among on-air talent and staff.
Myrka, for her part, shared a message of faith and hope in her stories: “Everything happens for a reason… God will reveal why,” she wrote, citing Romans 8:28.
A Key Figure in Spanish-Language Television
