According to EFE, the community of North Codorus in York County, Pennsylvania, is mourning after three police officers were killed in a shooting on Wednesday.
The officers lost their lives in the line of duty after being attacked while serving a judicial order.
The incident also left one officer in critical condition and another seriously injured, both hospitalized at Wellspan Medical Center in York.
Authorities confirmed that the gunman died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, meaning there is no longer an active threat in the area.

Pennsylvania State Police Commissioner Col. Christopher Paris led a press conference where he described the emotional toll of the attack.
“Our hearts and prayers are with them, with the families of the fallen, and with the families of the wounded officers,” Paris said with visible sorrow.
He acknowledged that the “pain will be unbearable” for the department and the community now grieving the York County killed officers.
Local authorities stressed that the priority is to clarify the facts and provide support to the families of the victims and survivors.

Lieutenant Governor Austin Davis urged citizens to stay away from the area, stressing that the investigation is still underway.
Emergency crews worked immediately with law enforcement to transfer the wounded officers to nearby hospitals, where they remain under intensive care.
The severity of the attack prompted federal agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) to join the investigation.
The agency confirmed in a post on X that several of its agents had been deployed to assist with field operations.
