The lawyer claimed on social media that he had a romantic relationship with her before, and after, her marriage to King Felipe VI.

According to infobae, Queen Letizia’s alleged lover was married to her sister, Telma Ortiz.

Just a few days ago, Jaime del Burgo shared a post on X (formerly Twitter) that caused quite a stir.

He posted a photo of Letizia Ortiz wearing a black pashmina in what looks like a bathroom. She appears to be pregnant.

«Love. I wear your pashmina. It’s like feeling you by my side. It takes care of me. It protects me. I count the hours to see you again. Love you. Yours.»

And when it seemed that Jaime del Burgo would stop there, he posted something else.

Queen Letizia’s alleged lover referred to the book Letizia y Yo by Jaime Peñafiel, which mentions other affairs.

«Love affair, from 2002 to 2004; Friends and confidants, from 2004 to 2010; Lasting and continuous love affair, 2010 and 2011; As in-laws, 2012 to 2016.»

Did he regret it? It didn’t take long for Jaime del Burgo to delete his posts, but the damage was already done.

Then he shared another post that provided more fodder for gossip about Queen Letizia and King Felipe VI.

«I wouldn’t change a comma of my deleted posts. I appreciate the messages from those who understand that I would have my reasons.»

Del Burgo claimed not to hold a grudge against people who threatened him with death: «I don’t feel proud, but the truth is what it is.»

Before ending his message, Jaime del Burgo stated that he only recognizes one King, and that is Jesus of Nazareth: «He will judge me.»

As if that weren’t enough, Queen Letizia’s alleged lover tagged the account of the Royal Household and the President of Spain, Pedro Sánchez.

Hours later, he shared a link that leads to his Instagram account and reposted a message from one of his followers.

Who is Jaime del Burgo?

According to El Correo, Queen Letizia’s alleged lover is the son of the former president of the Community of Navarre.

A lawyer by profession, Jaime del Burgo was married to Telma Ortiz for only two years.

This is not the first time he has threatened to reveal alleged secrets of the Spanish royal family. Jaime and Letizia are said to have started their relationship in Venice in 2000.

Today, he is married to lawyer Lucía Díaz Liljestrom and they have a daughter named Ulla.
