For the second consecutive week, Judge Juan Merchan, overseeing the case where Donald Trump was found guilty of bribing former adult film actress Stormy Daniels, has postponed sentencing.
Last week, the judge was expected to issue a decision for the president-elect set to lead the country for the next four years. However, the ruling did not occur.
In a brief note from the court, it was announced that sentencing has been delayed again as Judge Merchan evaluates how to proceed given Trump’s reelection.
According to reports from outlets such as El Financiero, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg has until Tuesday to present a recommendation to the court on how to proceed with the case.
Will Donald Trump Emerge Victorious Again?

This marks the second week the sentencing has been postponed without an explanation, except that Judge Merchan has requested additional guidance on the case.
Donald Trump’s attorney argued in court last week that there are grounds for dismissing the case.
Judge Merchan was set to deliver a decision on November 19, but this has now been pushed to the following week.
If the case is dismissed, it would be a significant victory for the newly elected president.
However, even if the ruling is unfavorable, it is unlikely that the Republican will face prison time.
