Sergio Muños’ Accident at Louisiana Downs

The accident occurred during one of the races at the Louisiana Downs racetrack, when Sergio lost his balance and fell violently to the ground, suffering a severe traumatic brain injury.

He was immediately transported to a nearby hospital, where he was admitted to the Neurological Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

Doctors reported that his condition will require an extended recovery with physical, cognitive, and speech therapies to restore the functions affected by the impact.

“Progress is measured in small victories,” Kevin wrote on the fundraiser page. “Every day is a new challenge, but also a chance to move a little further forward.”
