The Tennessee shooting triggered moments of horror among attendees. “Everyone was having a good time, and suddenly the shots started, going in all directions. There were small children lying on the floor. It was horrible,” said Jeoff Herman, a witness to the incident, to Local 3 News.

Another witness, Dominic Burkes, helped a young woman who was injured at the scene. “They covered all her wounds to keep her from losing blood. I held her hand and shielded her face from the sun, trying to keep her calm,” he recounted.

Local media, such as the Chattanooga Times Free Press, reported that a person was seen being placed in the back of a patrol car.
