A terrifying afternoon unfolded at a theater in Braintree, Massachusetts on Saturday when authorities received an emergency call.

Dozens of police officers rushed to the scene after reports of a mass stabbing at an AMC theater.

Initial reports stated that four girls were injured by a man who entered the theater without paying for a ticket.

Mass stabbing at AMC theater in Massachusetts

The police reported that the attack occurred without warning and without provocation. The assailant, without saying a word, attacked the four girls in one of the theaters.

The victims, aged between nine and 17 years, were transported to various hospitals in the Boston area.

One of the girls suffered a severe injury to her arm, but all are expected to survive, according to The US Sun.

The Braintree Police Department confirmed that the case remains under active investigation. However, authorities have not disclosed further details about the incident.

Another stabbing at McDonald’s

After the attack at the theater, the suspect fled to Plymouth, where he continued his violent spree. The man stabbed another person at a McDonald’s rest area around 7:00 p.m.

Following this second attack, the suspect escaped in a black SUV, leading the police on a chase. The pursuit ended in an accident, where the suspect’s vehicle caught fire.

It was later reported that the driver was arrestedand the police anticipate that further charges will be filed.

The chaos unleashed at the theater has left the community shaken and on high alert. Relatives and friends of the injured girls are anxiously awaiting their recovery.
