His disguise was discovered because of a video?

Authorities revealed that Crimo was seen on surveillance cameras wearing women’s clothing and covering his tattoos to conceal his identity. Another detail that stood out about the outfit that Rober Crimo wore is that he probably wore a wig in order to flee to his mother’s house.

“Crimo was dressed in women’s clothing, and investigators do believe he did this to conceal his facial tattoos and his identity. He was seen on a video camera wearing women’s clothing. He may have even donned a wig to complete his costume; a wig is not ruled out,” revealed Christopher Covelli during the press conference.

A volley of shots?

According to the details offered by the police, Robert Crimo shot at people who were watching the parade and ended up firing more than 70 rounds with the gun that has already been recovered by the authorities. Likewise, they pointed out that the Crimo dressed as a woman and went to his mother’s home «as if nothing had happened».

“The gunman who attacked an Independence Day parade in suburban Chicago fired more than 70 rounds from an AR-15-style weapon that killed at least six people, then evaded initial capture by dressing as a woman and blending in with the crowd,” police said during a news conference on Tuesday, The Associated Press reported.
