They lived to tell the story, although it will be from behind bars. A doorbell camera on a New York home recorded the stunning ending to a high-speed police chase. An SUV flipped twice before crashing into a tree.

Javar Marshall, 21, and Nasir Schifano, 19, were inside the black SUV at the time of the incident and were later arrested, according to the Rochester Police Department cited by Fox News on Sunday June 19. The rollover occurred in a Rochester neighborhood on Wednesday at approximately 4:30 p.m., WHEC said.

SUV flips twice before crashing

In the video, the SUV was seen flipping over and skidding into a tree. The driver lost control when he turned a corner and hit another vehicle. The video shows that the SUV rolled down the street before skidding and crashing into a tree.

The footage also showed the suspects exiting through the shattered windshield of the SUV, which landed on its side. They attempted to flee on foot but were immediately caught by the police officers who had been pursuing them.

The suspects are arrested

The video showed New York State and Rochester police officers approaching the vehicle with weapons drawn before holstering them to chase the suspects. The officers managed to throw at least one of the suspects to the ground just before the recording ended, Fox News reported.

The suspects were later charged with two counts of criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree after the Rochester Police Department found a loaded firearm on them. The video was initially posted on Reddit, where it went viral, according to the New York Post.

“It looked like a movie, like a scene from a movie,” Sean Irizarry, a neighborhood resident, told local outlet Rochester First. «I heard some screeching, so I could hear the car accident, and I ran to the front of the driveway, and that’s when I (saw) the car flip over right in front of the driveway,,» the resident added, according to the report. “The police officers pulled up and they came out with their weapons drawn and so that made me want to — well, I just ran away.”

One Twitter user commented: «This scene would have taken a Hollywood director 3 days and $5 million to get right.» The suspects were treated for minor injuries and were later booked into the Monroe County Jail, authorities said, according to Fox News.
