A man from North Texas is facing serious federal charges after allegedly threatening to kill agents from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) announced in a statement that 35-year-old Robert Wilson King was arrested and formally charged on April 3, 2025.

According to the DOJ, King is accused of transmitting interstate threats via social media. The case is being prosecuted by Acting U.S. Attorney Chad E. Meacham for the Northern District of Texas.

The criminal complaint alleges that on March 29, 2025, King posted a series of violent messages across several digital platforms.

In one of the most disturbing posts, King wrote: “If I see ICE agents in my neighborhood, I will shoot them. It’s time to stop being an idiot and apply the Second Amendment.” He didn’t stop there.

King escalated his rhetoric by writing: “ICE aren’t real police. They are a secret police force with no actual legal authority. Kill them!”

Later, King used another social media platform to repeat his threats, clarifying that his intentions were not impulsive.

In that post, he stated that he wished to “double down” on his desire to shoot and kill federal agents, which authorities classified as a serious threat against public employees.

Federal prosecutors argue that King’s comments weren’t just dangerous but also reflect a worrying pattern of behavior.

The case was filed under number 3:25-mj-00324 and includes additional examples of violent rhetoric attributed to King over recent months.

Court documents suggest that these threats were not isolated incidents, according to Infobae.

Authorities believe King has repeatedly exhibited aggressive behavior and hatred toward federal agencies.

The DOJ presented a screenshot showing his username as “Rob King.”

However, by the time the sworn statement was submitted, that post had already been deleted.

Investigators also discovered that King changed his digital identity on Facebook to “Rob Gutiérrez,” possibly in an attempt to avoid legal consequences or conceal his activity.

Even though the posts were taken down, officials had already saved key evidence to support the charges.

The DOJ emphasized that threats against federal government employees—especially those inciting violence—will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Authorities have not confirmed whether King has a prior criminal record, but are treating the case with gravity due to the language used and the current political climate.

The indictment comes at a time of heightened national tension around immigration policy, further intensifying the impact of the threats.

According to the DOJ, statements like King’s put not only federal agents at risk but also endanger the broader community.
