For example, you’ve probably heard that at the end, or at some of its edges, there is a pot of gold for those who manage to reach this point.
Also, Nordic cultures said it was the bridge that connected the world of humans with that of the gods, and that fairies called Iris guarded this bow.
The Rainbow in World Cultures

There have been endless and wonderful legends created thanks to this bow.
Mexico is not a country to be left behind when it comes to myths or legends, as this country is completely full of a cultural richness that extends throughout its territory.
Next, Genny will tell you the legend of the man of seven colors, a story that touches the heart of anyone who reads it.
It’s about a man whose life situations are hard, and a god takes pity on him so that his suffering would be healed. Without further ado, here is the story of the origin of the rainbow for this country.
The Man of Seven Colors

A very poor man was deeply sad because of his life on the streets of Mexico, as no one paid attention to him or offered him any help.
He had no clothes to wear and suffered a lot during rainy days. One day, while experiencing one of those difficult situations, he came across a lightning bolt and thought he might ask for help.
So he did. He walked for a long time until he reached where the lightning was and shared his story with it.
When the lightning heard his story, it even shed tears for how sad it found such stories. He decided to help him.
The Mercy of the God

Although he couldn’t provide the clothes he needed, he thought he could give him seven colors to paint his whole body.
After that, he uttered some words in which he expressed that every time the storm ended and the sun came out, the poor man would appear in the sky, crossing it with his beauty, and everyone would admire him.
Thus, he went from being the man no one noticed or looked at to becoming the one who appears after the storm, announcing the arrival of the sun to the people.
Mitos y Leyendas bids you farewell for now and hopes you enjoyed the legend of the man of seven colors. Until next time!
