The Mexican entertainment world mourned the murder of regional Mexican singer Saúl Granados.

The young man was found on a path near Periférico Poniente, 300 meters from the community of ‘El Charquillo’.

On August 29, he was scheduled to perform with Los Titanes de Durango at the mariachi square of the National Fair of San Luis Potosí.

Now, Saúl Granados’ sister has broken the silence about the tragedy her family is experiencing.

A statement from the San Luis Potosí Police revealed that the singer’s body was found on a path, but they did not confirm if there were bullet wounds.

Although investigations continue, Saúl Granados’ sister sent a message on social media.

On the Facebook page ‘Saúl y los de la pluma’, Sandra, the corrido singer’s sister, spoke about the funeral.

«Good day, I am Sandra Granados, Saúl’s sister, we appreciate all your heartfelt messages,» she began.

Sandra Granados spoke briefly about the funeral of Saúl Granados, making a request, reported by ‘TvNotas‘.

«We want to inform you that starting at 1 pm we will be holding a vigil for my brother at the Previve funeral home (next to Cuauhtemoc University),» it reads.

The funeral took place this Monday, but she requested respect: «…for those who wish to join us, we only ask for respect towards my brother and the family and no alcohol…,” she concluded.

To this day, it remains unclear what happened or who might be responsible for the murder of the corrido singer or whether it was a ‘settling of scores’.
