According to tvazteca, The Simpsons creator Matt Groening stunned attendees at the 2025 San Diego Comic-Con with his latest revelations.

During a special panel dedicated to the iconic yellow family’s 37th season, Groening made remarks that quickly became a global trending topic.

The most talked-about moment was a statement that many interpreted as a “prediction” about former President Donald Trump’s death.

Amid laughter and jokes, Groening said, “When you-know-who dies, The Simpsons predict that people will dance in the streets.”

Elon Musk Also Featured in a “Prediction”

The remark sparked a mix of laughter, controversy, and hundreds of reactions on social media.

But that wasn’t all.

Groening added an unexpected twist to his fictional prediction, saying, “Until President Vance bans dancing in the street.”

It was a blend of political satire, dark humor, and the irreverent style that has characterized the series for over three decades.

“We Are Time Travelers”

The panel also included a special mention of Elon Musk, the billionaire who has stirred controversy for his support of the current U.S. president.

According to Groening, upcoming Simpsons episodes will “predict” that Musk will be the first human to set foot on Mars.

But the interplanetary trip would not have a happy ending.

“Oddly enough, he’ll crash upon arrival, but he’ll say over the radio that he’ll be stranded there forever,” the cartoonist said amid laughter.

“And the most moving part is that he’ll be able to hear the cheering all the way,” Groening added sarcastically.

The comment was met with applause from the audience and widely shared on platforms like X (formerly Twitter), Reddit, and TikTok.

Fans, already used to the show “predicting the future,” quickly went viral with every word from the creator.

This is not the first time that The Simpsons have become an involuntary oracle.

The Simpsons Predictions Continue to Surprise

From Trump’s presidency to global pandemics, the show’s episodes have often been analyzed for their apparent prophetic nature.

Groening did not avoid the topic.

When asked how they manage to predict so many events, he responded with irony: “We are time travelers.”

The joke drew ovations from the crowd but also reignited debate about the coincidences between the show’s fiction and global political reality.
