Authorities in Texas need assistance following a daylight shooting carried out by three Hispanic individuals wielding semiautomatic rifles.

The crime, committed openly by the Hispanics, left one person dead and another badly injured at a gas station in southeast Houston.

Homicide Division agents released security camera footage showing the faces of the three Hispanics.

Who are the Hispanics who unleashed the brutal shooting?

Detectives revealed the faces of the armed Hispanic assailants in hopes that someone will recognize them and report their identity and whereabouts.

At 7:25 pm on Monday, April 1st, 2024, dozens of people called the emergency number to report a brutal shooting.

Several patrols from the Houston Police Department (HPD) responded to the desperate call from residents and shopkeepers.

When HPD officers arrived at the gas station, they could hardly believe what they found: the floor littered with bullet casings and two wounded individuals.

Two men were seriously injured at the gas station

The patrol officers requested the presence of paramedics from the Houston Fire Department (HFD) to assist the injured.

HFD paramedics transported the injured to Ben Taub Hospital in Houston in two ambulances, hoping that doctors could save their lives.

However, once the men were in the emergency room, one of them succumbed to the severity of his injuries. The other is still battling for his life.

Agents from the HPD Homicide Division then commenced investigating the brutal crime, which even took the patrol officers by surprise.

The attackers were barefaced and carrying semi-automatic rifles

Shortly after 7:00 in the evening, the two victims arrived at the gas station located at 2490 South Wayside Drive in a black Cadillac Escalade.

The two men entered the convenience store at the gas station, and after purchasing several items, they returned to their car.

Just at that moment, a gray Dodge Charger and a Mercedes Benz SUV entered the gas station at high speed and stopped next to the Cadillac Escalade.

Two men exited the Dodge Charger, and one more from the Mercedes Benz; all three were dressed in white, with their faces uncovered, and carrying semiautomatic rifles.

What was the motive for the unusual attack?

In a matter of seconds, the newcomers unloaded their weapons against the other two men next to the black Cadillac Escalade.

After unleashing a hail of bullets, the men sped away in the Dodge Charger and the Mercedes Benz. The shootout filled nearby residents and shopkeepers with panic.

Thanks to security cameras, agents from the HPD Homicide Division recovered images of the faces of the three Hispanics with the semiautomatic rifles.

Several HPD patrol cars scoured the South Houston area in search of the three Hispanics in the Dodge Charger and the Mercedes Benz, but without success.

Authorities ask for help to identify fugitives

At the time of writing this story, authorities have not disclosed the name of the deceased individual nor the name of the man who was badly injured.

The brutal attack carried out by the Hispanics openly, in broad daylight, and with semiautomatic weapons is highly unusual.

Now, the HPD Homicide Division is urging the community that if anyone knows the identity of these violent Hispanics, they should contact 713.308.3600.
